Trio uses the best backend service providers for its system, especially in handling security credentials. Trio also follows strict Privacy Policy (https://trio.ph/privacy) and cloud provider rules.
Yes, in compliance to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). To delete your account, go to Account -> Delete My Account. The Account menu can be found on the bottom tabs. By deleting your account, you will also be deleting your
underlying and personally identifiable data. After the deletion process, you will be signed out of the app and will lose access to your data forever.
In order for Trio to function properly, it only tracks your location during the lifetime of your orders and when the app is in the foreground. As a matter of principle and following strict rules by Android and Apple, the app is purposely INCAPABLE of BACKGROUND LOCATION tracking. Should, in any way, that background location will be required in the future, the application will prompt you for required permission.
Trio offers the following: (1) Ride-hailing of Tricycles, Tuktuks, e-Trikes, and Pajaks (pedicab), (2) Delivery service, (3) Pabili service. More services will be added in the future so it is advisable to keep your mobile application updated.
As a customer, you are not charged for using the app. You only pay for the services rendered by the Driver/Rider as displayed in the mobile application during the lifetime of the order. Fares/Service fees are made affordable and may even be cheaper than other providers. One hundred (100%) of fares/service fees go to the Driver/Rider. By availing of Trio services, you directly contribute to the betterment of Drivers/Riders.
As of December 1, 2022, payments to Drivers/Riders can be made in cash or in-app wallet payments thru username transfers. Your e-wallet can only be used within Trio community only.
No. Services can be paid directly to Driver or Express Rider in cash. You can choose to pay with GCash or other means, but you must settle this directly with the driver.
Driver/Rider FAQ
To apply, follow the steps: (1) Download and install the Trio Driver and/or Trio Express mobile application, then create your account. Take note of the username you used to register as this is needed in the application form, (2) Download the Driver Application Form and fill-in the details, (3) Go to the nearest authorized Trio Operator in your community to submit your form, verification, and to have your username activated.
To be a Trio Driver or Rider, an individual or business should have the following qualifications: (1) Must be of legal age and of good moral character, (2) Must possess valid permits and/or licenses to drive applicable motor vehicle as required by law, (3) For non-motor vehicle drivers that does not require licenses, one must possess skills necessary to operate such vehicle.
A Trio Driver or Rider is responsible in the following, but not limited to: (1) Maintaining and protecting the image of Trio brand in their community to the best of their capacity, (2) Providing excellent performance in providing services to their customers, (3) Following strict rules in conducting their Trio business as set forth by The Company.
You do not have to pay anything. Unless announced by The Company, Driver/Rider activations are free.
A Trio Driver/Rider earns one hundred percent (100%) of fares/service fees collected from customers as displayed in the mobile applications during the lifetime of an order.
The Company earns from subscription fees from Drivers/Riders. Subscription fees are very affordable enough for the Driver/Rider to earn better income. As of December 1, 2022, and until further announcement, subscription fees are waived.
The Company will announce prices for subscription fees when available. However, prices are very affordable and may range between twenty to thirty pesos (P20-30) per day. One subscription will cover UNLIMITED processing of orders and ALL service types such as ride-hailing, delivery, and Pabili.
You can pay via in-app e-wallet to pay for subscription fees. You can replenish your wallet thru your local Trio Operator, or direct from the company. Payment channels shall be announced.
Two-wheeled vehicles such as motorcycles, scooters, bicycles, e-bikes, etc. may become a Trio Express Rider, but are not allowed to provide ride-hailing services. Ride-hailing are reserved only for three-wheeled vehicles such as Tricycles, Tuktuks, Pajaks (pedicab), and e-Trikes.
Operator FAQ
To apply, follow the steps: (1) Download and install the Trio Operator mobile application and create your account, taking note of the username to be required by the Application Form in the next steps, (2) Download the Trio Community Operator Application Form, (3) Fill-in the required information, attach the necessary documents, and affix the signature required, (4) Send the complete requirements to the address stated in the form. You may also e-mail the forms to trio@ripples.com.ph, but the original signed document should be sent by mail for proper record keeping.
To be a Trio Operator, an individual or business should have the following qualifications: (1) Must be of legal age, (2) Able to acquire permits and licenses to run a business in their localities as required by law, (3) Capable of running at least a small-scale business in their community, (4) Can maintain good working business relationship with their Driver/Rider partners, (5) Must be able to attend or send representatives to trainings and meetings as called upon by The Company, (6) Capable to provide first-level customer support.
As a franchisee, a Trio Operator must pay the required franchise fee (waived as of December 1, 2022), the amount of which is stipulated in a separate contract to be signed by the Operator and the Company. The Company can choose to waive these fees at their own desire. Tricycle associations (TODA) are exempted from payment of franchise fees.
Trio Operators earn from the following: (1) Twenty percent (20%) from subscription fees, (2) Ten to thirty percent (10-30%) from sale of official merchandise items supplied by the company, (3) Other rewards and business opportunities that The Company may launch and announce in the future.
A Trio Operator is responsible in the following, but not limited to: (1) Conducting Know-Your-Customer (KYC) process in accepting Driver/Rider applicants, (2) Maintaining sufficient inventory of merchandise items and electronic wallet credits, (3) Supplying Drivers with necessary equipment and materials as sourced from Trio head office, particularly but not limited to, uniforms, top boxes, face masks, shirts, etc., (4) Promoting Trio in their community, (5) Maintaining and protecting the image of Trio brand in their community to the best of their capacity, (6) Following strict rules in operating Trio business as set forth by The Company, (7) Monitoring and supervising their Driver/Rider partners, ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations, (8) Ensuring that their Driver/Rider partners have the necessary permits and licenses to operate in their locality, (9) Providing first-level customer support to their Driver/Rider partners and resolving complaints, (10) Attending or sending representatives to trainings and meetings as called upon by The Company, (11) Upholding the core values of Trio and promoting positive relationships with Driver/Rider partners, customers, and the community. In summary, being a Trio Operator entails a significant amount of responsibility, including managing the day-to-day operations of the business, supporting Driver/Rider partners, and promoting Trio in the local community. However, the potential for earning a profit from subscription fees and merchandise sales, as well as other business opportunities that may be offered by the Company, can make it a worthwhile investment for individuals or businesses that meet the qualifications and are willing to put in the work.
